Using Google Docs For Collaborative Writing #edtech

The link below is to a great video lesson that shows how students can learn writing skills through the use of the collaborative sharing in the Google Docs environment.  There are other tools like onenote, evernote, wiki’s and the like that can also be used but the concept of collaborative work in a cloud environment is well demonstrated in this 2 minute short.  Watch the video and than answer the two guiding questions:
Questions to Consider after watching:
  • What skills do students gain by using Google Docs? How does Ms. Wessling foster the development of these skills?
  • Imagine using Google Docs in your classroom. What issues might arise? How could you address those issues?
