I was excited to watch this video when I saw HUMILITY in the title. Unfortunately the leaders choice of words, such as, “I”, “I”, “authority” …and his examples did not convey humility to me.
His examples and his message conveyed, long in the tooth, autocratic and positional boss management leadership. A style of leadership that as educational leaders we can quickly fall back to, because of the leadership structures within our system.
Schools, like our children, don’t always end up as we planned; and there can be a silverling in that when we let humility shine!

    • I can see what you are saying when I played this again. I also see the speaker recognizing his struggle with moving from authority to humility. I did like his comment that the “leader has to be still when everything else is spinning”. Nothing worse that a leader adding to the frenzy of the moment or situation. Thanks for adding your thoughts on this one Lindsay.
