School Visits: Seeing Education Technology In Norfolk Schools

Friday I had the opportunity of visiting three schools in the Norfolk area of our board.  It was really great to see students and teachers using technology in jk/SK all the way up to grade 12.

Student in a Science 2L class were graphing temperature change of water using probeware at VHSS.

Students at Courtland and Delhi Public Schools also were active using computer labs and technology to learn.  The cold weather drove the students inside during recess and break time but it did not stop them from using technology to continue the learning.

At Delhi Public School I saw many examples of student work that centered around digital media hanging on the walls of the hallways.

My visit finished at Delhi Public School where I learned from teacher librarian Cynthia Gozzard about their Kindle e-reader program.  Recently Cynthia presented her program at a provincial librarian conference.

What a great day
